Visit the interesting museums of Trinidad

As I already mentioned it, Trinidad is considered a museum itself. The city boasts in several interesting museums. Among the most popular ones are for example the Romance Museum, the Trinidad Architecture Museum, the Guanuhaya Archeology Museum and so on. The museums are usually housed in small buildings, but present some great collections. They are absolutely worth visiting.

Explore the beautiful Valle de los Ingenios

Trinidad and the Valle de los Ingenios were inscribed together on the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. This nearby beautiful valley is very popular among visitors. If you visit Trinidad, you have to visit the valley, too. It is famous for its large sugar cane plantations and innumerable sugar mills which can be still seen here. The Manaca Iznaga estate with its tower is also very attractive for visitors.

Lie on the sunny Ancon Beach

If you love sun and sand, the nearby Ancon Beach will surely be your favorite destination. It is a gorgeous sandy beach with warm waters. Although it is not as attractive as the beaches of Varadero, Guardalavace, Cayo Largo or other famous beaches, but it is a great place for sunbathing and swimming. If you visit Trinidad and you would like to relax on a beach, Ancon Beach is the place to go.

Swim in the Salto del Caburni

Another fantastic nearby natural attraction is the Salto del Caburni. It is a wonderful waterfall with a natural swimming pool underneath. You have to start from Los Helechos to get here and make a walk to the waterfall. The views are gorgeous. It is absolutely worth making the way to the waterfall.

Dance in the unusual Disco Ayala

Trinidad has something to offer to its young visitors, too. The unusual Disco Ayala is actually housed in a serious of caverns. Get in this unique disco and dance along the locals to the vivid salsa rhythms. It will surely be an unforgettable experience.
