The Western Sydney Wanderers fought hard to secure a 0-0 draw with Sydney FC in a tightly contested Ninja A-League Sydney Derby on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The match started with high intensity, with the Wanderers causing problems early from a corner in the opening minutes.\u00a0Yuan Cong\u00a0and\u00a0Amy Harrison\u00a0combined well in the 11th minute, but Harrison\u2019s volley was kept out by Sydney keeper\u00a0Tiahna Robertson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the other end,\u00a0Sham Khamis\u00a0produced a brilliant diving save from\u00a0Maddie Caspers, punching the resulting corner clear to maintain parity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the first half, both sides created chances.\u00a0Holly Caspers\u00a0had a shot blocked from a quick break, while Yuan was denied by Sydney defenders after weaving through the box. Harrison\u2019s effort from the edge of the area went wide as the Wanderers continued to probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second half remained equally competitive.\u00a0Ella Buchanan\u00a0made a crucial last-ditch block to keep Sydney from opening the scoring, and Khamis was again outstanding, claiming\u00a0Caley Tallon-Henniker\u2019s cross and denying\u00a0Bianca Galic\u00a0a tap-in.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allyssa Ng-Saad\u00a0and\u00a0Talia Younis\u00a0both came close in the latter stages, but Robertson continued to keep her side in the game, tipping Ng-Saad\u2019s strike wide in the 89th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the scoreline, the Wanderers showed resilience and attacking intent throughout the 90 minutes, matching Sydney FC\u2019s intensity and creating multiple clear opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
