Western Sydney Wanderers return to the road this weekend for their second consecutive away match, travelling to face the Newcastle Jets as they look to build on last Sunday\u2019s breakthrough performance and secure their second win of the Ninja A-League season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red & Black arrive with confidence after a hard-earned 1\u20130 victory over Brisbane Roar \u2014 a match defined by discipline, control, and a late moment of class from Olivia Price. From the opening whistle, the Wanderers signalled their intent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sham Khamis set the tone early with a sharp one-on-one save, and from there Western Sydney began to dictate terms across the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danika Matos was electric down the right, combining smartly with Talia Younis to create early danger, while Ena Harada and Sony continued to pull Brisbane apart with clever interchanges and attacking runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain Amy Harrison came inches from a long-range stunner, and late first-half pressure from Holly Caspers and Sony forced Chloe Lincoln into several key stops as the Wanderers continued to build momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geoff Abrahams\u2019 side remained composed and purposeful after the break, strengthened by the introductions of Allyssa Ng-Saad, Janae De Fazio, Olivia Price, and Nikita Fazzari. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reward finally came in the 87th minute: Ella Buchanan showed brilliant awareness to square an unselfish pass for Price, who calmly guided home the decisive finish. It was a deserved three points and a performance that showcased the team\u2019s growing confidence, structure, and belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite conceding inside four minutes through Brooke Nunn, the Jets responded well, equalising through a composed Melina Ayres penalty after Lauren Allan was brought down in the box. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remainder of the match was shaped by the outstanding form of goalkeeper Anna Leat, who delivered several crucial saves including a fingertip stop in the 55th minute to ensure Newcastle returned home with a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jets showed their resilience and willingness to push late in matches, but the Wanderers will feel this is an opportunity to continue building momentum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With their first win secured and performances trending upward, the Red & Black enter the contest with renewed clarity and confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
