The 2025 ABAL Banking Schools Cup wrapped up in spectacular fashion today, with Westfields Sports High School claiming glory in both the boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 Year 9\/10 divisions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After being rescheduled from Term 3, the tournament concluded at Wanderers Football Park, bringing together the best young football talent from across Western Sydney and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a pulsating boys\u2019 final, Westfields Sports HS A overcame Good Samaritan Catholic College 3-1, while Westfields Sports HS B secured a 4-2 victory against William Clarke College in the girls\u2019 decider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a fitting finale for the inaugural Year 9\/10 competition, showcasing the skill, determination, and teamwork of these emerging football stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year marked a record-breaking edition of the Schools Cup, with 111 schools and 407 teams across all divisions, up from 165 teams last year, taking part in a celebration of football, community, and school pride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Year 9\/10 division alone attracted 117 teams, making it the largest cohort yet in the competition\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABAL Banking Schools Cup is more than just a tournament. It is a chance for students to experience the thrill of representing their school, building friendships, and enjoying the game in a supportive, inclusive environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regional Gala Days, held across Western NSW, Hills, Granville, North-West Sydney, Canterbury-Bankstown, Nepean, Southern Districts, Blacktown, and Macarthur, determined the regional champions who then advanced to the Finals Series at the Wanderers\u2019 elite training base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the first whistle to the final goal, the 2025 ABAL Banking Schools Cup has once again proven why it is a highlight on the Western Sydney football calendar, inspiring the next generation of footballers to dream big, play hard, and celebrate the beautiful game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registrations are open now for next year’s Schools Cup.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
