Over the weekend, the Western Sydney Wanderers joined the Australian Defence Force Football Federation (ADFFF) at their annual National Tournament, a celebration of football, service and community spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Running from 10\u201317 October, the week-long competition brought together players from across Australia and New Zealand\u2019s Army, Navy and Air Force.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the surface, it\u2019s a battle for national honours and selection into the ADF representative sides, but at its core, it\u2019s much more than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe ADF Football Federation\u2019s National Tournament is our showcase event, bringing together the best footballers from Navy, Army and Air Force to compete for national honours and ADF team selection,\u201d said a spokesperson for the ADFFF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s more than just football though. The tournament helps build leadership, teamwork and resilience – qualities that matter just as much on the field as they do in service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It\u2019s a week where people from all corners of Defence come together, push themselves, and form lasting connections through the game we all love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Wanderers, attending the tournament was about connection, strengthening ties with the Defence community and recognising the shared values that bind football and service together. Pride in the jersey. Commitment to the team. A deep connection to community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the A-Leagues season kicks off, the ADF Football Federation shared their support for the Red & Black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
