Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the re-signing of Amy Harrison for the next two Liberty A-League seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embarking on her fourth season for the club, Harrison has embodied what it means to be a winner throughout her career, having been an instrumental part of the Wanderers most successful season in Liberty A-League Women\u2019s history in 2019 as well as winning several trophies both internationally and domestically in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last season, Harrison donned the captain\u2019s armband and led the team to some of their most successful on-pitch performances to date, the team scoring the most goals, and holding the second-best goal difference in Wanderers Women\u2019s Club history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A leader on and off the pitch, Harrison is confident the group is building towards finals and success in the upcoming season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think we are done yet, I think we are just beginning. For the first time since I have been here we have real stability with staff and with the majority of the playing group, and I think that is exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s really good young talent coming through and I think we have a lot of experience with the other end of the scale so it\u2019s aligning well and I want to be a part of that and keep moving it forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head Coach Robbie Hooker commended Harrison\u2019s leadership within the group, citing her as a role model for many of the junior players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmy is the kind of player that sets the standard for the younger members of the group. Both on and off the pitch she is always pushing for them to be better and, more importantly, leading by example.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe brings a lot of quality as a composed and experienced player, and it\u2019s that kind quality that we hope rubs off on the less experienced members of our squad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having been also moved to a more defensive role as a centre back, Harrison is seeing the next season as a new challenge to be embraced fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m a big believer in always trying to learn something new, and this has definitely lit a new fire in me to keep learning and growing\u2026and I think just aligning with being the captain and a leader in this team I think it helps being a defender as well and having that role to play.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think personally, I just want to keep getting better every single day. As a person, as a leader, as a teammate, as a player for this club.
